I love this sandal and I especially love that they are made in Brazil. I also manufacture our Planet Flops in Brazil.  The quality really does show in this shoe. I showed them to my older daughter and her eyes nearly popped out of her head she loved them so much. I think even Suri (Katie and Tom Cruise’s daughter) and Danielle (my younger daughter’s 4 year old bff) would give up their heels for these. Please, for Dr. ShoeMom, give up the heels til you are 20. Thanks.

This shoe upper is made out of leather with a decorative bow on the side. There is a side zipper to put on and off easily. The sole is made out of rubber and is flexible.

Nike Kids Airmax Command (Sizes 3.5-7)

Yes, another sneaker by Nike. I just gotta have ‘em and I am not the only one. Last Friday evening, we were driving back home from a family picnic at the park organized by my girls’ school and we drove by the Nike store on Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills.  There was a huge line outside, so we stopped to ask what was going on.  They were literally camping out for the latest Jordans that were scheduled to go on sale at midnight!  Clearly there are some who are even more commited than I am to finding the most stylish and comfortable shoes.

This is a great looking retro style shoe made out of leather upper and mesh underlay. It closes with laces and has a durable rubber outsole.

Girl’s Cozy Shimmer Sandals (Sizes 10-5)

J. Crew, can you please make me these in my size. I am in love. Birkenstock style with beautiful glitter – it is just fabulous. I ordered these for both my daughters and they both love them. I cannot wait for the weather to warm up so they can actually wear them.

This shoe is made with a molded leather footbed and a durable rubber sole.  The upper is made out of canvas with beautiful gold glitter.

Hunter Kids First SP 11 (Sizes 9-13)

On the subject of rain, Los Angeles has definitely been hit hard.  I was wondering lately if I moved to Seattle and didn’t even know it.  We have had so much gloomy weather. Where has the LA sun gone??

I was at my kid’s preschool on Friday and a little girl who I always notice because she has the same hair color as my daughter was wearing these boots in hot pink.  Her entire outfit was just so cute. A black and white long sweater, black leggings, these boots and a hot pink ribbon in her hair that I recognized from American Girl store at the Grove.  I wish I had a picture of her to post because it was just so perfect and brought some sunshine to that gloomy day. I just had to recommend these boots after seeing her!

Hunter boots are made by hand with 28 individual parts and with great attention to detail. I have a pair and love them!  This boot is made of natural rubber. It’s built on an orthopedic last for added comfort for toddler feet.

Kid Express Bjork (Sizes 10-4.5)

I saw these and had to order them for my younger daughter who was in desperate need of new shoes. She has worn out all of her pairs. She loves them and so do I.  I love the detachable ankle cuff because you can achieve 2 looks in one shoe (conservative and hippish).  They come in black, brown and hot pink.  We bought the brown.

This shoe is made out of leather upper and lined in leather. The detachable ankle cuff closes with a hook and loop. The outsole is made out of a textured rubber.

Ugg Kids Bailey Button (13-6)

 I cannot believe that the winter is half over and I have not recommended Uggs yet!  Our entire family lives in Uggs all winter long and we live in L.A.  I had a dinner party last Friday evening at my house and one of my older daughter’s friends was wearing these.  I have the exact same pair too.

As an aside, this dinner will go down as one of the most memorable dinners I have hosted. I had lit candles to helps set a nice mood.  Thank goodness everything was okay but I (not a child) accidentally dropped a napkin in one of the candles and a fire instantly erupted from the dining table.  As my husband and all the men were having a scientific discussion on the best way to put this fire out, I was single handedly blowing out a lung and blew out the fire.  Don’t worry, once the fire was put out by ME, my husband poured a glass of water on the table (ahh, the hero). So we had to reset the table, etc.  It was really an unforgettable evening. Thank goodness, again, that no one was hurt and I will be investing in flameless candles from now on.

Okay, back to Uggs!  There is not too much to say – they are warm, stylish, comfortable and come in many colors and styles.  It’s hard to pick one, so you may have to just buy two!

Most Uggs, including this one are made out of 100% Grade A sheepskin upper.  The 100% fine woolen sheepskin breathes and helps keep your feet dry and warm. The outsole is made out of eva. This shoe closes with a button and you can wear it closed or open. I like to fold mine over.

Note: once I wear out my Uggs, instead of throwing them away, I convert them to slippers.  Old, worn-out Uggs make fantastic slippers.

SRT Preschool Kennedy (Sizes 7-1, Widths Medium and Wide)

Wow. Is this just a gorgeous shoe!!! I love the classic Mary Jane style with beautiful leather flower appliques. I really love Stride Rite. I especially love that Stride Rite makes such a strong effort to create healthy shoes for kids. I think there website is fantastic because it has so much wonderful information. I myself have learned several interesting foot/shoe facts.

Stride Rite even has a pediatrician and a shoe guru (no,not me) to answer parents’ foot and shoe questions.  Stride Rite has developed the STEP program (Scientifically Tested Everyday Proven) which makes buying healthy shoes for kids easy for moms and dads.  The STEP program has 3 phases for buying shoes:

 1. Pre-Walker (For instance, Robeez shoes which is owned by Stride Rite).

 2. Early Walker, which is centered around SRT (Sensory Response Technology) Soft Motion.

This is Stride Rite’s latest innovation, and it has been clinically proven to reduce the number of stumbles and falls for new walkers. There are sensory pods in the shoe which allows kids to get the feel of the ground while still maitaining adequate support. There is a removable insole with the “Check Fit System” so parents can make sure that their child’s shoe fits correctly.

This shoe is made out of leather and has moisture wicking, eco-friendly lining. It closes with a hook and loop and has a padded collar. This Mary Jane comes in black, pomegranate, brown nubuck and navy.

Sketchers Kids Twinkle Toes S Lights Keepsakes (Sizes 11-3)

My younger daughter does not wear socks so I need in the winter (yes, even in Los Angeles) to find shoes that can be worn without socks. I ordered these and she has not taken them off since. Can you blame her??  She loves to watch them light up after she takes a step. She makes us turn off the lights at night and create a light show. It’s just hours of fun with a pair of shoes in our house since Thursday when they arrived from Zappos. This boot also reminds me of this Jimmy Choo designed Ugg boot with the stars (of course the Jimmy Choo version does not light up).

These boots are made out of faux suede upper with faux fur lining. There is a cushioned footbed for added comfort. It’s designed with a metalic star and sequins. The sequins on the toes light up after each step.

Aster Scalloped Leather Tall Boots (Sizes 8 – 4)

This boot is a must have for your little girl if you are looking for an amazingly gorgeous boot to get you through the winter season. The chic little girl who gets these is damn lucky. A far stretch from the hideous shoes I used to wear as a girl. Oh please can I borrow them? They come in copper and black but I love the copper since it goes with everything.

These boots are made out of leather upper and have a rubber outsole. They are lined with leather too. These boots close with and inside zipper.
