Children’s Place Disco Sandal (Sizes 11-5)

Children’s Place does it again with a fabulous looking sandal just in time for spring.  My older daughter loves the blue and my younger daughter loves the hot pink. I just totally think of a white sun dress, these sandals and a straw hat with my girls sitting on the beach watching the sunset. Wake up! Reality Check!  More like white t-shirt, shorts, playing at our local park whining for the ice cream truck – but hey, at least they will have cute affordable sandals.

These sandals are made of faux leather upper and have a rubber outsole with a cushioned insole. The shoe closes with a zipper in the back and comes in turquoise blue or hot pink with a silver metallic underlay.

Available at childrensplace.com. $22.95.

Crocband Sneak (Sizes 6-13)

You know by now that I just love crocs. This style incorporates a sneaker into a croc, so your child will get the best of both worlds. I love the croc material because if it gets dirty you can just rinse it off with a hose or in the sink.  Crocs are also perfect for splashing in puddles in the spring rain.

This shoe made out of crosslite material. There are holes for jibitz. It slips on and off and there is a continuous lace.  Colors available are black/black, navy/red, seablue/navy and black/white.

Available at zappos.com. $35.00.  You can also learn a lot more about this great shoe, and purchase it, on the Crocs website.

Hunter Kids First SP 11 (Sizes 9-13)

On the subject of rain, Los Angeles has definitely been hit hard.  I was wondering lately if I moved to Seattle and didn’t even know it.  We have had so much gloomy weather. Where has the LA sun gone??

I was at my kid’s preschool on Friday and a little girl who I always notice because she has the same hair color as my daughter was wearing these boots in hot pink.  Her entire outfit was just so cute. A black and white long sweater, black leggings, these boots and a hot pink ribbon in her hair that I recognized from American Girl store at the Grove.  I wish I had a picture of her to post because it was just so perfect and brought some sunshine to that gloomy day. I just had to recommend these boots after seeing her!

Hunter boots are made by hand with 28 individual parts and with great attention to detail. I have a pair and love them!  This boot is made of natural rubber. It’s built on an orthopedic last for added comfort for toddler feet.

Available at zappos.com. $50.00.

Easy Spirit Rhona (Sizes 5-12)

Thanks to my friend Liz, who introduced me to the fact that Easy Spirit makes cute, stylish shoes (which she discovered when her mom bought a pair earlier this year), I always check out their shoes at the store in the Westside Pavillion.  I love these.  The leather is soft and the contrast with the wood heel is adorable. I don’t think anyone will know they are Easy Spirit. The fact that they are made with comfort in mind is an added bonus. I think this is a fabulous pair of shoes for a night out with the ladies or a date night with your hubby.

The upper of this shoe is made out of leather with a rubber outsole.  It has a 3” stacked heel. There is a cushioned insole for added comfort.

Available at easyspirit.com. $79.00.

Boys’ Swiss Gear Loch Mesh Hiker (Sizes 12-6)

This is a great shoe/sneaker for your son. It can be worn for hiking (something we love to do with our kids and dog on the weekend) or for just everyday play. I think it’s a great looking shoe and has a similar look to the higher end brands. I absolutely love the splash of yellow with the neutral color.

This sneaker is made out of genuine suede and mesh. The insole is made out of manmade materials with a rubber outsole. There are laces but it is a slip on shoe with pull loops to adjust tightness.

Available at target.com. $21.99.

Ragg Kids Amelia (Sizes 8-12)

A couple weeks ago my younger daughter was having one of her many playdates with her friend Danielle. I picked them up from school and decided that my daughter needed a new pair of shoes. She is the fussiest shoe wearer I have ever met (probably what motivated me to write this blog). I thought her shoe wardrobe was, quite frankly, embarassing, particularly since she is Dr. ShoeMom’s daughter! Every day she wears her tsukihoshi sneakers and, while I do love that brand, it was time to invest in another pair of shoes. So the three of us were off to the Beverly Hills Brooks shoe store. As every mom knows, it’s not an easy feat to shop with a toddler.  Shopping with two toddlers who are bff’s-well, I definitely needed a nap and/or a glass of wine after that excursion)! After literally pulling off every shoe on the shelf, the two girls picked this pair.  And yes I approved, as they are very comfortable and so adorable. Mission accomplished!!

This mary jane is made out of textile with sequins and flower appliques. There is a cushioned insole and they close with a hook and loop. The outsole is rubber. It comes in silver and pink.

Available at Zappos.com. $42.00.

Morgan and Milo Woodstock Lace Canvas (Sizes 6-12.5)

Last weekend we were at the Century City mall because I was craving my favorite tart froyo which can be found at (drum roll, please) Bloomingdale’s 59th & Lex Cafe. They have the original tart frozen yogurt and it’s so good! Anyway, as I was standing in the café waiting for my to go order, I started to admire a very well dressed family having lunch (I always wondered about people who lunch in department stores – it just seems so luxurious and lovely).  The little boy, who was 6 (I inquired because I adored these shoes so much), was wearing these shoes. If I had a son, I would definitely splurge on these. The good news is it is not as much of a splurge since they went on sale in the process of writing this post. Yay (love when that happens)!

The upper is made out of canvass and there is a cushioned footbed. The closure is lace up. The outsole is made out of natural rubber (which I also use in my flip-flop company, Planet Flops) and it’s flexible, lightweight and long wearing.

Available at Zappos.com. $40.00 (orig $50.00).
