If I had a son and lived on the east coast this would be a must have shoe. It’s durable, stylish, comfy and great for all weather patterns. I am also extremely lazy when it comes to putting on and taking off shoes and always favor a shoe that is easy on and off. After all, us busy moms cannot spend an extra moment putting and taking off our child’s shoes plus they love the independence when they can do it themselves. They also make a grown up version of this shoe if you or your husband would like a matching pair.

This shoe is made out of water resistant suede. It has a reinforced toe which is great for your active son. There are elastic sides for extra give and a cushioned anitmicrobial footbed. Comes in gray, black, brown and navy. The sole is made out of rubbber with extra traction.

Pampili 197.029 Infant/Toddler (Sizes 3.5-5)

I had been on a quest to find a comfortable front light up shoe since my younger daughter had requested a pair. Leave it up to my friend Abbe (pulitzer prize winner) to find them. She asked me my opinion about this shoe and I quickly ordered them from zappos. Yes Abbe, this shoe is great! It lights up and is comfortable. FINALLY!! Thanks for pointing them out to me. You clearly have many talents and finding comfy shoes is one of them.

This shoe upper is made out of leather and lights at the toe. It is cushioned inside and has a rubber outsole. Closes with a hook and loop and comes in fuchsia and purple.

Lands’ End Girls’ Lace Up Shearling Boots (Sizes Toddler 9-Girl’s 7)

Once again, if I lived on the east coast I would definitely have ordered these boots for my girls (assuming, of course, they know how to tie their own shoes). This is a great alternative to uggs and a little less expensive. I love the mocaboot style of these too.  Oh, and did I add that I love the retro hippy chic style (my favorite).

This boot upper is made out of genuine suede with genuine shearling trim and faux shearling lining. It closes with laces and has a molded traction rubber outsole. Comes in pink, brown and sandstone.

Aerosoles Motorcar (Sizes 5-12 and comes in medium and wide widths) 

 

I was at the Century City Mall last week with my mom and she needed some comfortable shoes. We passed by the Aerosoles store and decided to stop in and browse. I was pleasantly surprised at how stylish aerosoles shoes are and, of course, comfortable. We were supposed to be looking for my mom but I ended up trying on a bunch of pairs (like every good daughter does) because they were so darn cute. I loved these.  They reminded me of a pair of sold out Prada boots from Saks yet so much more affordable and comfortable (hurray!!).

These shoes are made out of suede upper and have a rubber outsole. They have a cushioned footbed for added comfort. They close with a side zipper and comes in navy, black, brown and grey. They also come in wide widths which is AMAZING!!

I was so delighted when Shoes for Little Feet (www.shoesforlittlefeet.com) emailed me and asked me to check out their online kid’s shoe store.  What a wonderful site! They focus on selling comfortable and stylish kids shoes. Since Dr. ShoeMom and shoesforlittlefeet.com share a similar passion, I have decided to select all of this weeks kids picks from this site.

Tsukihoshi Child 30 Silver/Orange Sneaker (Sizes 8-13.5)

If you have been reading my blog, you will know that I love this brand of sneakers. I was happy to see that www.shoesforlittlefeet.com is selling them at a great price for boys. I had to recommend them because how cool is the silver and orange combo?!? I just love it!!

This shoe is machine washable (awesome) and made of faux leather upper. It closes with a hook and loop. There is textile lining that is infused with green tea to guard against bacteria (oh, how Japanese!).

Pediped Flex Elizabeth Black Boot (Sizes 5-12.5)

Lately, the weather in L.A. has been so very confusing. We had record breaking heat 2 weeks ago, then cold and torrential rain for 3 days and now we are back to heat.  Of course, I do realize that across the nation cold is coming and that’s why I am recommending this boot. It is so adorable.

Even in L.A., we occassionally have a cold day that would be perfect for this boot.

I am so happy Pediped, another fabulous brand (BTW, Pediped is approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association), is making boots.

This boot is lined with real shearling and is made out of suede. It has a rubber gum sole and the flex fit system, which means it comes with an extra 2mm insole to customize the fit for the child. When your child’s foot grows, you simply remove the insole, thereby allowing your kid to wear this boot for a longer period of time.

Clarks Orinocco Jazz (Sizes 6-10)

I always thought of Clarks as just a comfort shoe but lately they have such fashionable styles. This motorcylce looking boot is so edgy and current. I love it and, of course, I love that it is comfortable too. Just what every mother running after her kids needs.

I also know a long black boot is just what we need in our closet to get us through the winter months. This boot would look great over a pair of skinny jeans.  I also think they would work well with a soft flowery dress. 

This boot’s upper is made out of full grain leather. It closes with a side zipper and has a rubber outsole. There’s also a soft synthetic interior lining to wick away moisture and keep the foot cool and dry.
