Last week when I was at The Children’s Place, I saw these shoes and thought they were so cute too. They really have an amazing selection of shoes that are great priced and comfortable. You will start to notice in my weekly selectons that I am attracted to bohemian/hippie styles. This is another great sandal for the spring summer season. They are made out of genuine suede upper. It closes with a buckle and loop. It has a cushioned footbed with rubber textured outsole for traction.

Toddler’s Doodle from Simple Shoes (Sizes 4-10)

 

For eco friendly moms, this is the shoe for your child.  It’s not only good for the environment but it is really adorable. I love supporting companies that produce sustainable products.

This shoe is made from washable suede (what mom doesn’t love that?) at an eco-certified tannery.  The lining is made from organic cotton fleece.  The laces are made with recycled PET (polyehtylanetenephthalate) and natural latex. It closes with a pull toggle. Water based glue is used to hold the shoe together. The foot inserts and even the shoebox is made of post consumer recycled paper.  They come in bison, nine iron, olive/classic taupe and black/olive charcoal for boys and patrician purple, desert rose and purple ash for girls.

This is an eco-conscious shoe purchase and at the same time a shoe that is not only comfortable but healthy for your child’s foot. A great pick right after Earth Day.

Kicker Kids Rando (Sizes 8.5-11, 13-2)

I remember my grandmother buying kicker shoes for me as a kid when I was living overseas. I still think it is a great company that makes great shoes. This style is so rugged and cute for boys.

Kicker is headquartered in London. It was created in 1968 by Daniel Raugfast who was interested in created a shoe for the new “blue jean generation”. The designer designed the 1st “jean boot” which was different than the shoes at that time because it looked more like a short boot than a regular shoe. It was such a success that the company grew form selling 300 pairs to 12,000 in one month.

The shoe is made with leather upper, lining and insole. The outsole is made from rubber.  It closes with a double hook and loop.

Boardwalk Sandal by The Children’s Place  Sizes (11-4)

I was shopping at the Grove (great outdoor mall in Los Angeles) this week and made sure to run into The Children’s Place to see what shoes they had for the summer. I saw these sandals and just thought what a great pick for girls. They come in patent lime, white, hot pink, light blue, purple, orange and metallic silver. I wanted to buy two pairs for my daughters. I had a hard time choosing but picked the purple for my younger daughter and silver for my older daughter.

They are faux leather and lined in a soft faux leather for added comfort. It has an adjustable strap at the ankle with a hook and loop closure. It has a textured rubber outsole. Hurry up and buy these at this great price as they are sure to sell out fast.

Sperry Top Sider ‘Bluefish’ Oxford (Sizes 7.5-7)

This classic boat shoe is back in style. An American original since 1935 when Paul Sperry invented the 1st boat shoe for sailors.  He created Top Sider when he saw his dog Prince’s effortless ability to run on ice and snow and used his pen knife to cut thin slits into the outsole of a rubber sneaker.

This shoe is perfect for all ages of boys. I think it would look great with a pair of kahkis for a dressier occasion. I love the fact that it is so preppy and clean looking and comfortable too. I also love that your husband can admire your son’s shoes and remember what he did in his siders. It may even make him run out and buy a pair for himself.

Juicy is not just for sweats anymore.

Wow!! These shoes are so gorgeous. Do they make them in my size?? Your daughter will be able to show her hippy chic style in these sandals. They would make any outfit she wears stand out. The metallic color is great, matches everything and may be the only dressier sandal you will need for spring/summer (assuming your daughter’s foot does not grow).

Champion Harbor Track (Sizes 11-4.5)

Over spring break, I met my friend with her children at the mall and dragged her to Payless. She was astonished by the style, prices and comfort. She ended up buying her 3 children shoes right there and then. She loved these for her son and she has amazing style so I knew these had to be cool. Her son is also high energy so he must be in a comfortable shoe.  This is a boys shoe but can, in my opinion, be unisex.

It is made with genuine suede and manmade materials. It is a lace up which is great since you can easily adjust it to your child’s foot width. There is a padded collar and tongue for added comfort and non marking skid resistant outsole.

Crocs Electro Slide (Sizes 6-13)

I know there has been so much controversy over Crocs but I love them and more importantly my girls love them. I figured this out when my older daughter was 2 years old (5 years ago) and she would only wear Crocs. She has a high instep and most shoes irritated her at the time. Since then I became a big Crocs fan. Even my husband, who has a hard time finding comfortable shoes, wears them most of the time now too. Crocs has a diabetic line of shoes and diabetics have a lot of problems with their feet. Further validation that crocs must be a good comfortable shoe.

I love this shoe for summer. It’s great for the beach and pool or just a throw on shoe for the summer.

It is constructed from dual density croslite with an extrasoft heel. There are holes for jibbits which makes them even more fun for the kids to wear. It comes in lime/navy and navy/seablue for boys and fuschia/bubblegum for girls.

Prada Girl’s Strappy Leather Sandals (sizes 7-3)

I was admiring my friend’s extravagant purchase of these sandals for herself which initiated my search for Prada kids shoes. I found them at Saks and although this is out of my price range for my daughters they do pass the test for comfort and, of course, style. If anyone judges you for putting your daughter in a pair of Prada shoes you now have a defense “but Dr. ShoeMom recommends them.”

They are made of silver leather with adjustable straps at ankles and across toes. It comes with a rubber sole so your daughter can run and play in her Pradas.

Toddler Girls Genuine Kids by Osh Kosh Jaiden Flower Gladiator Sandals (Sizes 5-12)

Comes in Metallic Pink, Silver, Gold, Brown with Pink Flowers.

My friend found these for her younger daughter and bought them in silver and gold. She bought them at the end of the winter season and come rain or shine her daughter is in these shoes. I can’t blame her they are adorable.  I have examined them and given them the Dr. ShoeMom Seal of Approval.

Lego Toddler Little Kid Saturn Sandal (Sizes 8-11.5) Khaki and Navy

I absolutely love this brand of shoes. My friend introduced me to them when she bought a pair of these shoes for her son and said they were the only shoes he would wear. Since then I have bought a few styles for my younger daughter and have yet to be disappointed in the style and comfort.

This style sandal is perfect for spring and the upcoming summer. It has a microsuede upper and rubber sole. There is a hook and loop closure, as well as a cushioned footbed and a treaded sole for traction. You can’t go wrong with this sandal for your son.

Repetto Ballerina Flats (Sizes 11-2) Silver and Gold

A few years ago, a friend bought these for me in brown. I still wear them because they are so comfortable and stylish. I was so excited when I found out they make them for girls. They are pricey but just think about the history of the French company to justify the cost. Madame Rose Repetto made her 1st pair of shoes for her son in 1947 and she then opened a store in Paris for ballet shoes and apparel. The store still exists today and sells shoes designed like the original ballet slipper. Don’t worry, no need to travel to Paris. You can order them at saks.com.

The two shoes in the pair are exactly the same –there is no right or left shoe.  They mold to your feet as you wear them. It has a padded insole with a canvass lining. Shoe is made out of metallic leather and a goat suede toe.

Airwalk Toddler Attack Skate (Sizes 5.5-10)

Genuine tumbled leather suede, two velcro straps for a good fit, and a cushiony collar, tongue and insole. This is a light shoe and extremely flexible for this shoe style at this price point. It’s a great shoe for a kid with a wide foot.

My friend bought this for her son and he refuses to wear any other shoe. So she ran out and bought it in both colors. This is a definite cute shoe for your soon to be skater boy.

Morgan and Milo Avril Metallic Mary Jane (Sizes 7.5-1.5)

Wow!! Comes in gold and silver. I bought it for both my daughters in silver. Obsessed with this brand and love these shoes.

I like to buy my girls mettalic shoes because I never have to worry about them clashing with their clothes. It has a metallic leather upper and a FLEXIBLE rubber outsole. There is extra toe protection too. This shoe really has it all.

Primigi Kids Kionna (Sizes 5-12)

I just had to buy these for my younger daughter. They are just the perfect spring/summer shoe.

It has a suede upper with fringe detailing. The cushioned man made foot bed just makes them so comfortable.  This is Primigi’s sky effects system which has all the features of a primigi shoe plus features such as a FLEXIBLE, light weight , shock absorbing and anti bacterial.
